I started by programming the 980 without the base station and had everything working fine through IR. Then decided to add the base station and the RF. I started from scratch so I could learn it thoroughly. All the standard IR remote commands now go through the MSC via RF and everything works fine. I added in my RS232 equipment and can't figure out how to turn on "ALL EQUIPMENT" from the remote.
I'm a little confused on what actually triggers the macro from the remote.
I have programmed the MSC macro to turn on the theater equipment. This works fine when testing through USB, but I don't quite grasp how to make a button on the remote trigger the macro.
I am not a CI, but I program industrial equipment all the time and I think that's what has me crippled. The process is very similar, but there is one little detail I'm missing and it's got me frozen! Ha ha.
