I just ran into the same issue, but there's a REALLY cool solution that is FREE. I just upgraded to a new PC with Windows 7 64 bit, and found that Pronto Pro NG Edit would *not* communicate with my devices. I didn't want to run (2) PC's, so I loaded Virtual Box (and the extension pack) from
[Link: virtualbox.org], it worked like a charm! I created/loaded a Virtual PC that's running Windows Vista 32 bit, installed Pronto Pro NG Edit and now I can create/edit and download the changes to my devices once again. Amazingly easy and most of it was just using the defaults for creating the Vista virtual system.
