Yep- it is a pain- no question.
The most I wanted to spend on a remote left me with the best choice being URC. The URC RF base spews out additional IR commands which messes up my DTV-PAL device. There is no other remote that I could find that offers Macro's and decent quality for the price I could get an MX-450 for.
So- all that to say my only option was to go wired.
I can't spend a thousand bucks on my remote installation.
