There is a possibility that the discrete On & Off codes will be added in a future firmware release. We'll see.
As for RS-232, I tried the commands in the Owners Manual with IP and though I was connected to the display they weren't working. I don't think I had the command string written correctly. I found a thread here at RC that may have the right syntax but haven't had a chance to do another test.
