Of course, I don't know if your unit is capable of FFWD and REV. Other users with the same model number have seen that capability, but sometimes manufacturers change things.

To clarify, IR signals are just flashes of light, and there is nothing intrinsic to the signal to indicate that it should control a TV or DVD. Remotes do usually organize the table of IR protocols, device numbers, and function numbers into pages of setup codes that are most likely to work with a given kind of component. When the TV button flashes, it doesn't indicate that the signal will be accepted by a TV; instead it means that the signal is defined on the TV setup code. TV 1886 will always flash the TV light unless VPT or channel lock have been set.

Anyway, to get FFWD or REV, please also try setup codes TV 1864 and Video (DVR or DVD) 2194. These setup codes use the same protocol and device numbers, but some of the function numbers are different. Try every button- not just the transport buttons. Don't worry if the it takes two setup code to control everything-- we can combine them into one setup code.

If that doesn't work, invest 30 mintues or so in trying all 256 possible IR signals. Instructions in Post #7

Here's the manual.  It clearly shows that FFWD and REV are supported.
