Though I am a new member I have utilized the knowledge on this forum since 2001. For that I want to thank everyone who contributes.

Since that time I have been using a Marantz RC5000i (Philips Pronto TSU2000).

I have managed to make it work. However, I am now doing an overhaul of my entertainment center. I have tried to make the RC5000 work but none of my new computers have a serial connection and I can't get it to communicate with any of my computers using a serial-to-usb converter cable.

I am looking for a remote that can be programmed via computer (USB), has both screen and hard buttons, and costs ~$150 or less.

This doesn't seem like a big request but I have read so many bad reviews of highly recommended remotes that I am concerened.

Logitech Harmonys have fragile screens, Acoustic Research ARRX18G has sluggish performance and the web-based programming is not great, etc.

Please help!
