The Set Top Box I am having problems with is a DishNetwork DTV Pal - DVR.

It is not a Sat box but instead- an over the air tuner with a DVR built in . It is currently sold by Channel Master and both units have reports on the web of not responding to the IR traffic from a URC blaster-

They work fine with the IR traffic from the remote directly but not with the RF / Blaster IR.

I understand that probably a pro could do something about it- but I doubt they could do it with URC.. .There seems to be an inherent problem with that hardware- which is what prompted my initial question I guess.
