I tend to agree. It isn't wise to artificially restrict your business model in order retain your elite status.
I don't see myself paying someone to configure my remote control- I WOULD pay them for some quality hardware/software though. I just have to figure out what that hardware/software is- and who is willing to sell it.

Based on your URC comment initially, it isn't a programming issue but a RF setup issue, something that a pro would have very valuable experience in setting up. What is the specific model # of you sat?
