The reality is that NO ONE in the United States trusts our government, the banks or the media.

Now there's a truth...

Our government is a joke. More than half the people i know don't even bother to vote anymore. All we see is the cheap joker in the expensive suit dancing around like a clown on TV.

He's just the lead clown (liar). All the other clowns (liars) are congressmen and senators. Then you have the lower level clowns (liars) at the state, county , and city level.

The majority of the people in this country are so far removed from the rest of the planet that its scary.

This is so true. But why is it?

Given that we're all fed heavy doses of BS on a hourly basis, we are left to determine what might be true without having the full story. Nothing like being misinformed and trying to have a real idea on what the problem is. Kind of like trying to figure out why a system won't work, and not knowing what equipment is actually being used...

Take the deficit for example.

All the pols would have you believe that Social Security is a major part of the problem. well it is in a way, but that's only because "uncle" has borrowed the money. Some call it an entitlement.
How is it an entitlement? It's our money and most of us would like to get it back. An entitlement is like welfare, where the money is not ours that we paid in, but is taken from us and given to others.

SS is not the big problem. Government "royalty" is the problem.

Government (Pols and others) get the royal treatment at the expense of the country. Ultimate medical care, billions in perks, and a retirement plan that we can only dream about.

The really scary part is that it's not likely to change, since the sole objective of a pol is to get re-elected (to be able to continue amassing his/her millions), rather than take a chance and try to actually do something that might help correct the problem.
