Which one is better seems to go back and forth. I will say that I've been in love with RTI, but never had such a strong like of URC. Both have had problems, enough to make you never want to use them again, and both have recovered. Right now the tide seems to be swinging to URC, and I'm following right along.
As for looks, I mostly use "wand" type remotes in an RF system, and I think the RTIs look slicker than the URC. Just my opinion (this year).
