OK, I find it sorta hard to understand how any company (even Italian) can produce a $30k+ projector in 2011 without a direct IR input, or a voltage trigger so it could power on from an output trigger from the processor.

But it seems unfathomable that there is no Discrete On/Off for this projector. You must turn it on by selecting an input source, and turn it off with a “toggle” on/off code. And even those I cannot get to work because there's something unusual about the C3X IR codes that make them virtually unlearnable by other learning devices like the Xantech PCIR.

If I could find discrete Hex IR codes for the on/off toggle and input select “0” (that worked) then I could at least make this thing acceptable. But the ones on this thread do not:

I've spent 4 hours looking for a solution to this. Can anyone help me -- before I take a hammer to this projector to turn it off for a final time?
