I have just performed the surgery on two TSU3000s. We have had an unusual Spring and Summer here in Denver, with extra rain and humid days. One client also installed a humidifier about a year ago. Perhaps two different clients with failed Prontos of the same model in one week is due to the humidity. I used an X-ACTO knife blade to puncture and slice the LCD terminals, then sealed with dielectric grease from an auto parts store. So far both remotes are operating normally again.
