Hi Richard, I am bitwise dealer and can speak about that system. Bitwise is an IP to IR/RS232 processor which communicates via iphone/ipad the same way a remote talks to a base unit via radio frequency. 4 addressable IR ports and a very sophisticated and ever improving software package complete the setup. Ideally you want to run CAT 5 to any equipment not located near the base unit (which is hooked up to your network via hardwire) for IR or RS-232 control. The unit can also use TCP/IP for it's new 2-way platform and has a growing number of modules available that work very well.

This is more of a serious programming system and doesnt do a lot of the work for you. However, the software features make it very capable of controlling just about anything.
