After programming the various internet radio stations into a Pioneer VSX-33 and testing them out, I'm struggling with how to access those presets discretely. The Pioneer manual describes the process of selecting a preset by scrolling through the list, then pressing enter/select/right arrow to access the highlighted station. This works fine.
I'd like to program some buttons on the AV system's remote to jump directly to a preset so the client can choose say a classical station without having to fire up a TV or the projector to see the display. The remote in question isn't actually relevant to the issue. Suffice it to say that I have IR, RS-232, and IP control over the receiver.
Using the original Pioneer remote, I haven't been able to find a method of direct access, although I can navigate blindly through the presets. If I program the remote to jump forward X number of stations to a particular preset, the concern is that eventually, the remote will not be in sync with the receiver.
Any ideas?
