I got it to work. I can now toggle the receiver on and off .Tks

Procedure is as follow:

Assign 30842 to Aux
Assign 00051 to power button
Assign 30135 to Aux

However the volume control does not work . I want the volume control to run thru the Onkyo receiver as I use ext speakers . Is the sequence above correct ? Tks

New info :

I cleared all EFC programming and just assigned 30135 to aux and the vol buttons do control the receiver in Aux mode.

I think that when I apply the the full 3 step procedure, the vol control does not work because somehow it is locked to the TV or cable . When I press these buttons followed by the vol button, a message shows speaker off which is correct. How do I default all vol to only the receiver irrespective of mode? Tks
