Im looking for some help with programming either my old urc 8206 or newer 7557 both one for all, some I can do a factory reset on my Samsung SR150m dvd recorder. Samsung want extorionate amounts of money for what is an inherent fault and very common. All it wants to try tuning to is channels in Austria, sadly I live in the UK. The unit was bought from proper company in Uk and repaired last year but they no want to charge for the privelidge.

I have contacted the service centre and they confirmed a factory reset using remote control is needed. On searching the net there is a fix by soldering 2 wires to the chip in the remote and shorting the connection which brings up the reset on the unit but wanted to try for codes using a urc first.

Hoping someone can help
