You are not too far from Ottawa as I recall so maybe there is a sweet spot you can aim the antenna to so it gets reliably some of the US channels you want. It is a compromise option therefore do not expect to get all of them , just try maximizing the US ones while minimizing the Ottawa ones to an acceptable level. Any high gain antenna inherently has a narrow reception (or transmition depending on its use) beamwitdth therefore only a rotor will get you everything but I think to remember it was a 2 TV install, right?
