That one should be more than enough. You are not that far way from Ottawa, only 42 km away , so if the antenna on the roof clears trees and other roofs you can even use a less expensive antenna like the CM 4221 for 50 CAD. . If there is any digital VHF it will be on the Hi band , that is 7-13, therefore the CM 4228 at 100 CAD would be more appropiate. You will only need a rotor if you wanted to get the Montreal stations as well since they are in the opposite direction. In general amps are only needed in cases of very long cable runs (over 150 feet) or distribution amps if several TV's will be fed. Your link to tvfool does not work but a quick search shows only CBS ch 7 from NY as the only one expected in VHF and that one is too far away for reliable reception (only during Tropospheric Ducting conditions) .

I just searched more and CHCH now Analog on ch 11 will convert to ch 22 Digital in August so you do not need the VHF portion of the antenna therefore IMO the less expensive CM 4221 will serve you well if installed properly. Consider a distribution amp if you have more the 1 TV in the home.

BTW , before I forget, Welcome to the forum.
