I would suggest a MX-880 made by URC. It has a color screen but has buttons to the left and right of the ICONS (not touch screen) Unless you budget is $1000+ it is difficult to get a good touch screen.

If you want RF capability, you will need the MRF-350 RF tranceiver.

On a programing note, no really good remote is easy to program by a novice in a few hours. It takes time to learn the programming software. However, I can program a URC remote or an RTI remote in half the time than it takes me to try to make a Harmony work. (I have refused to program Harmony remotes for my customers. By the time I'm done, they could have had a good remote)
