I don't think there is a default. Sometimes when I learn them in, it will have a repeat of 1, sometimes 2, and sometimes 0 but most often is 1. This only really applies to IR commands placed in macros since when a single command is placed on a key it will repeat until the button is released unless you uncheck the sustain box.

NSP01, IIRC don't you work for or contract with Pioneer? Is there a different IR receiver or chip in the 520, 820, and 920 compared to the 1020, 1120 and elite models? The commands I have used for years seem to work fine on the higher models but require a longer blast duration for even input commands on the 520, 820, and 920. I only use RTI for control if that makes a difference.
