Come to think about it; I haven't had any issues at all with the menu controls. It's only the power on/off like you describe. This just might be the fix.
Without the two part toggle bit code you will only get power toggle depending on the quality of the learn. these are clean and tested so they should work accurately. Just make a macro with the IR codes back to back. I have thought about trying to merge the codes into one string to see if I can get it work but since I always embed my power commands as processor sub routines that application has not been a priority.
