I'm using a generic adapter from monoprice that worked flawlessly on my old directv box. I got a new HR24, plugged the usb into the back and it worked for a few hours then stopped responding to my URC remote. Reset it and it worked again. Did this every couple hours so I swapped the USB to the front port where it worked flawlessly for about 2 months. Then the front port started acting up. I figured it was the receiver so I called DTV and got them to send a new one. Now the new one is doing it. Anyone else have this issue? I'm not sure if I'm using a null cable or not. I plugged it in and it worked so I assumed it was correct. Would it work at all if it were wrong? Do you think it could be the adapter gone bad? I'm running 9600, 8, N, 1.
