All Hardware will be supported for warranty and servicing.

Software will be supported from the point of NSP.
I.E. A major bug is found that stops the software from working then they will fix it.

I do not think there will be any updates in the near future.
I.E. No NSP 3.1.

Because Z-Wave is a open platform, new Z-Wave devices will be supported (without any updates) to a level.

As for the IR database, that will continue to grow as the Nevo has access to the entire UEI IR database via NSP and the online search option.

Nevo is not totally dead. It may appear again down the line but for now it is hibernating.
