I am trying to manually enter the code for a Sony Bravia TV into a RCA Universal remote. It is, admittedly, a very old RCA remote but it still works. I THINK it is a D771...it looks like the picture in that manual, although it doesn't say "Wide Range Remote" at the bottom.

Anyway, I've looked up all the Sony TV codes I can find and I've tried entering them on this remote and none of them work. I've tried to just look up 'Sony Bravia TV codes' online and on various remote control sites, and nothing lists codes for the Bravia models.

Is it just not possible to operate a Bravia from a universal remote? All I want to do is turn it on and off and adjust volume. Channel selection and everything else is controlled by an old DirecTV box.
