I never have understood the TV manufacturer's stand on integration. Pioneer got it, Panasonic used to get it, Fujitsu, etc... this was largely due to the fact they dealt in the pro or commercial markets but ALL of the major manufacturers show at Cedia, etc... every year. It seems that they could throw some sort of Bone without increasing their manufacturing costs. I get the whole 80% market concept and that we make up such a small component of their business but when you market your TV for on-wall installation...???...???
My recent frustration... Panny VT25 plasma has RS232... no discrete 232 of 3D modes... we had to create macros that would turn 3D on/off and toggle through the modes. This really sucked if you turned off 3D BEFORE you put the mode back to "Native" when watching comcast cable. The aspect would wig out.
