The channnel master 7777 are good preamps , however the preamp is only as good as your antenna. Also if your using a uhf only antenna then you really dont need a 7777 . A better choice would be the winegard ap-4800 uhf only with almost 30 db gain. A single banded preamp will always perform better than a dual. I have customers in Rew PA. with a yagi and a winegard ap-4800 pulling the buff stuff at 75%
