If client want "higher def" video feed on new panels, you have to add $8000.00 outboard video proccessor DGE2 to a V12 or V15 panel.
So I think I answered my own questions.
IMHO this is a major step backwards, at least in the residential arena. Pricing typically should go down substantially for newer models.

V12 and V15 cannot work without a DGE1 or a DGE2. So a HD V15 is not $8k more than a SD V15. Its the difference in price between the DGE1 and the DGE2 which is $2400 (pricing the DGE1 and Vpanel in a bundle).
