I beleive the format will be side by side as posted in other webs but like a 1080p TV will display any other HDTV format , sequential 3D TV will also be able to display this side by side format. It does not requiere dual signals it just splits the frame into half right and half left and then the 3D TV stretches does frames and presents them sequentially. It also uses less bandwith that is why Direc TV was pushing for this format so the 6 Mhz (or 19.43 Mbps) of the ATSC standard should and is more than enough. I read somewhere that CBC is considering using a different ch frecuency for the OTA transmition but that is in my opinion speculation and more likely will not happen but as always I could be wrong.

did you get the glasses BTW, lol? . I do not see myself watching TV with glasses unless I really need them , and I probably do by now, lol.

Yeah I got the 50 inch 3D TV, 3D Blu Ray Player, two pairs of glasses and a 3D movie (Monsters vs Aliens) for $1799.00

I was not planning on buying 3D, but the TV is a LED Plasma and seemed like a great deal compared to what else there was. I wanted 50 inch and LCDs were only available in 46 or 55 inch. 46 too small and 55 was going to be too big for my room.

The Bell 3D demo channel loops for about 1/2 hr. They had baseball on there and I've seen golf. Hey it's a novility...thats all.
