Hi, new to the forum (but not new to home theatre). Basically i have just moved house and im planning using an a/v rack in the garage instead of having the equipment in the same room as the remote. As i understand it rf/rs232 is the best option for controling my sources which all have rs232 control ports.
For simplicity I'll use just one source and my remote to make my problem clear. I have a nevo S70 remote which is capable of controling rs232 with 2 way communication and a yamaha rx-v1800 amp with rs232 port. I also have a gigabit wired network with wireless access point for the remote to connect to. I understand about loading the correct scripts into the remote to control the amp but how do i the signal from my remote into the control port on the amp?
Sorry if this is a bit of a spaz question but i'm just stumped. I've googled and the results i get don't make sence because i don't know what i'm meant to be looking for.
