Declare the variable at activity level, then you can reference it anywhere in eval().
To make things work properly, you may need to scope the eval to something other than the 'global' scope. For example:
CF.activity().eval(mycodestring);
or
this.eval(mycodestring); // from the activity level.
vs just the simple
eval();
