i worked on it for about 8 hours before throwing in the towel. Here are a couple of applications that might help someone to figure the commands out. UPnP Inspector and Developer Tools for UPnP Technologies has a Device Sniffer that will show the traffic. I think with the two of them and someone that purchases the iPhone app, you could probably use it as a sniffer to see what is sent to the TV for the controls.
