I have an MX800 - MRF200 combination. They have been working fine for years.

Recently I subscribed to AT&T U-verse and my cable box changed to a VIP1225.

I reprogrammed my MX800 to control the VIP1225, and the IR output from the MX800 works fine, but RF control through the MRF200 does not work.

I found the IR sensor on the VIP 1225 to the right of the record LED.

I spent a lot of time trying to find a "sweet spot" onor near the sensor, but it just does not work. It seemed to work a few time but in no way reliably.

I searched the forum but did not find anything for this configuration. I did find similar problems and tried part of the suggestions where practical.

Has anyone worked out a solution to this?
