It a small torx. Not sure of the #. Maybe #8? I have to ck my bench in store & see what label on torx tool I used. I've had tool awhile & picked it up @ true Value.
After taking out 2 screws, had to use a small flat screw driver to pry open seam around sides. Once open, I didnot go past exposed board. All I had to do was spray a very light amount of "Zepreserve" into side of control. The ? is how much dexterity do do have & not sure whether you need solder iron.

Practice with remote your removing good screen from. This way if you have accident like breaking case you will know how not to do it on remote your keeping.

If in doubt, find a local TV repair shop where the owner looks like he's over 45 or he learned from his dad. 25+ years ago, TV repair people all had to solder & replace small parts. Some1 like this maybe able to help you with this part of the job.
