Really you ought to have posted this in the 'discrete codes' forum.
As far as I know the V+ box does not have discrete codes, have you been told different?
Also your Arcam stuff should respond to discrete codes, what model do you have and what are the codes you have tried?

oops, your right sorry,

The only indication that the v+ box uses discrete codes can be found here in this thread, "V+ (Scientific Atlanta) Discrete on/off codes for Pronto??"

However they neglected to provide said codes so I used these found on this forum which mysteriously disappeared from my Pronto edit CCF file and I can't for the life of me locate them again since I restored my PC this morning! as a beginner using the Pronto I find this searching for discrete codes and implementing them overwhelming.

is it in fact impossible to turn the virgin media V+ box on and off with or without discrete codes?

Any help appreciated

PS. It turns out that my virgin media V+ is in fact a "Samsung SMT-H3110" which when I googled doesn't bring up any Pronto codes discreet non-discreet. Does this mean I am out of options?
