This is not practical. You're essentially asking how to take an audio recording that's in English and make it understandable to a person who only speaks some other language.
You'd have to reverse engineer the IR pickup and command structure of the receiver, then design in another system of your choosing. A replacement remote must be cheaper by thousands of dollars.
I just checked and saw one of these players, used, with remote, for sale at amazon.com for $22.00. Get a new one. Abandon this model and get a better one. I do agree though -- don't buy a replacement remote because it will probably be $60!
