Thanks Mike.

And the answer is yes, I've had this remote for about 2 years (bought it from you, as a matter of fact), and had fully programmed it on my old 32-bit XP machine. When I upgraded my machine 6 or so months ago, I installed W7 64-bit. Since the remote was already programmed and I hadn't made any real changes, I never bothered installing the software on the new machine. Today I just felt like doing it, partially because I wanted to see if there was a firmware update for the remote by chance. The software all installed and updated fine, but I just cannot get this silly thing to connect to the machine and be recognized.

Totally unrelated question, is there a good way to get dust/debris out from behind the LCD screen? I've taken apart an old MX-700 before and it wasn't easy, I really don't want to take this sucker apart.

Thanks again.
