Frustrated.... I am getting a "No response from interface" message. I verified that my parallel port is 378H and made sure that the IR Interface shows "JP1 Parallel" and is set for 378. I downloaded and installed the VCP drivers and have tried the parallel, serial and JP1.x options to no avail. My cable is a simple one - there's a 25 pin male connector at one end of the cable and a six pin female connector at the other end. The grey six strand cable has one red wire in the fifth position.

Do you have any thoughts about what the problem could be?

UPDATE: I read the forums and saw that my older cable may not work with my JP1.2 remote. Is that correct?
