I personally have Directv because I threatened to cancel and got 15 movie channels free and they chopped my bill down to $68.00. If your client can get Uverse and the price is right I would do that as you can record 2 low def and 2 hi def shows at the same time (someone else posted on RC that if you are less than 1500 feet from the node it may be 3 hi def channels). Now if he doesn't need a lot of channels he might look at Comcast.

I know Directv is working on Uverse-type recording options (more than 2 shows and you can access recorded content from any TV). Also, I think Uverse limits you to 4 boxes but Directv doesn't.

So after digressing Directv or Uverse in my final answer...
