The motorola boxes are toggle power. There is a workaround, though. I've personally never used it, but people say it doesn't work if the unit is a DVR and is currently recording something. If the box is off and you press menu, you get the config menu. From there you can press either menu again, or exit, i forget which. That'll be your power on macro. For power off, just press menu, then power.
