Does the jack on back of the equipment support a stereo or a mono plug? If stereo, you may need to build a converter cable with Mono on one end and Stereo on the other. It could be that you have ground loop issues and will be forced to use the emitter on the front of the equipment. I used to use RFX9400 and had no issues but upon upgrade to RFX9600, I had to do this with Escient MP200 and Xantech powered connector block. Not sure why but ended up having issues.

On the mono plug, tip is IR and ring/sleeve is ground. You may need to consult your vendor for specs for the type of plug and plug pinout for their equipment.
