Your Sony remotes can learn the necessary signals.  Spend $20 or less on a newer remote that has the needed setup code(s), and use this cheap remote to teach the signals to your Sony remote(s).  Recommended remotes are mentioned in Posts #4 and 5 in this thread. 

Use Setup code Audio 1658 for the DAV, and Audio 1441 (some codes e.g. Surround are on Audio 1558) 

If you don't want to spend the $20, it will take an hour or so, but you can manually enter a 5 digit number for each button into a Comcast remote.  Some other cable company remotes will work also. I can tell you which 5 digit codes to use.
