I use SUPERAntiSpyware to really get rid and monitor for trojans and maleware. I used the free version only for a long time, but recently but the full version for very cheap.

Other than that, I've used McAfee for probably 8 years now and never had any real issues. The one time I got some malware bug, I was told about SuperAntiSpyware and it was handled.

I've worked on and my wife and family have had computers with Norton and it seemed to always be nothing but trouble.
