We installers sometimes get accused of sitting wasting time while programming. What we are doing (if not actually wasting time) is trying out all sorts of combinations of button pushes to see whether there's some one or two push situation that always gives the same results, no matter where you start.

I've seen sets with two tuners where, when you're on a video input, channel up takes you back to the last tuner you were on. that would not be helpful. But if it takes you to one particular tuner, always, that would.

Sit and play. Try silly combinations of things. When you expect to go to an analog tuner, enter something like 36 POINT 4. Maybe the tuner is smart enough that when it receives a "point," that is, decimal point, command, it switches to the digital tuner. That's probably not going to help you, but it shows the kind of wildass thinking you have to do to find solutions.
