About Me:RCA RCR612, Jensen JER822, GE, Magnavox, Sole Control, many other past models. It seems that limitations in RCA remotes at this level are mimicked in Jensen and GE remotes. The RCA always seems to end up not being able to operate something.
Currently, I can't find a code for a 26" Haier LCD TV with the RCR612--RCA should have added some codes for this brand on their list. This is maddening. Most web help points to RCA/Thomson sites or stupidly copy codes. This is not very intelligent. Why isn't a site available with anecdotal experiences of people successfully determining weird codes? I guess I hate these stupid devices--I always end up using at least some factory remotes. I'm tired of wasting money. I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars on Harmony or whatever, either. I think, however, that I had a Phillips or a Magnavox that was the best; it worked every device, but, of course, not perfectly--it wore out. Maybe I should repurchase that. Haier is a really large, innovative manufacturer nowadays, of all sorts of stuff. Thomson should make an effort for that. I suppose they're frightened by the competition: They see the writing on the wall....
