I've been trying to look for a remote for the Denon DRA-625RA Receiver, the only functions i really need is just to turn it on and off and to raise/lower the volume i dont need anything else, would anyone happen to know what kind of universal remote may work with this or any remote that would, i tryed sony RM-V402 remote, and a Panasonic EUR511171 remote, neither would turn off/on the receiver. The sony RM-V402 infact didnt even work with any of the tvs i have at home, even though all the other universal remotes i tryed worked for the tvs im pretty sure i was doing it right too. I used to have a remote that would work though i forgot what it was and lost it. Help would be very much appreciated, Thanks.

It's your first day, and because your location is not in your profile, I don't know if I can offer you anything locally. I too am in the United States, but that still could mean we are 3,000 miles apart. I have been looking for a remote or remote codes for a DRA-275R, and have found that none of the command sets in the Pronto files section control it. The best I can suggest is a set of codes that supposedly operate ALL the Denon receivers, although there seems to be a total divide in command sets somewhere between the DRA sets and the current AVR sets. However, this set of commands is for a Pronto or Marantz remote, so it won't do you any good unless you have access to one of those and the software to program it. I can send this code set to you if you can find a way to use it.

hmm, i really do not plan on getting a pronto or marantz remote, especially being they seem to cost an arm and a leg to get. I found this on remotes.com [Link: remotes.com]do you know if remotes.com is reliable or if their "subsitutes" actually work. Also i wonder what the policy on there is. Though i wish there was a cheaper remote to get since i really only want to turn it on and off -_- and change volume up/down. well money isnt the real problem but rather i wonder if remotes.com is reliable and if it didnt work how i would return it.

$40? Well if that is to much then the other cheaper alternative is get up and do it manually. There is not a cheaper way to do it and you will spend much more in time or effeort to try and get around it!
