Last time I looked at a dsiplay in a BB they had a Sony on Discovery HD in 480i. Please do not use BB as the benchmark for anything other than how not to do things right. Besides sales and marketing I guess...

I had the 40RF350 here for 2 weeks hooked up right beside a 5080 and it looked OK, but not near as great of a picture as the Plasma and had more artifacts (feeding out of same scaler on dual HDMI out of a Lumagen Rad XD with - Direct HR20, Toshiba A35, Mc 861, Escient MX111). But the set is neat with the very small bezel and fits where others in its size won't, and is bright, if the room has a lot of windows. As far as LCD's go I think it is good edit - just to clarify I prefer the Pioneer plasmas also

No comparison. The Pioneer Plasma all the way.

I think I just farted, burped, coughed, and vomited all at the same time. Any level of Pioneer will smoke those brands. I could not believe the thread, so I hoped in and then I couldnt believe my eyes. Plasma hands down. Pioneer entry level over any LCD, hell, entry Pioneer is better then the new 1080P Panny. My thoughts.

Since this is now a rant....the Samsung 52" 71 series playing Transformers on Blueray is absolutely mesmerizing!!! Yeah, Kuro is awesome, but price and performance on the newest sammy panels is impressive!! Blacks are inky, accurate color, elegant bezel.... Almost $1300 saving(dealer) over the PDP5010....and a couple inch's bigger....the savings buys HDDVD & Blueray players, and pays for some programming as well....for a lot of clients.....sold....done...when can you install....

Have you watched a football game on the 71 series Samsung yet? Once you do you really won't like the TV very much. Take a look at the football on a kickoff, the motion artifacts are absolutely the WORST I have ever seen.
