Jasco Products, the maker of most GE consumer electronics accessories, is increasing their remote control with the addition of five new offerings, bringing their choices up to nine pre-programmed models. Their new 6-device RM94925 and 8-device RM94927 "Total Control" remotes will handle DVD, satellite and audio components in addition to traditional video devices. Both support PIP, home theater and advanced menu controls, something usually missing from lower-end products. New button layouts offer distinctively shaped keys in unique groupings in an ergonomically shaped case. The 6-device remote will retail at a suggested list price of $18.99, while the gold-colored 8-device version with a total of 47 buttons will sell for $22.99. Their traditional product line continues with 4 and 3-device remotes ranging in price from $12.49 to $16.99. These new models will be available during the first quarter of 2000.
